In partnership with Dogtown Running Club, Dogtown United is excited to bring you the inaugural Dogtown Family Festival & Fun Run! The festival will take place on September 17, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in Franz Park, located in the historic Dogtown neighborhood.
Who is your charity partner?
Sponsorships, race registrations, and food and beverage sales will support Dogtown United’s fundraising efforts toward the annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Wilkinson Early Childhood Center students.
Do you have to register to be in the race to go to the festival after?
No, you do not have to be registered for the race to attend the festival. Feel free to come and enjoy the festival amenities, including music, yard games, vendors, and a ribbon cutting of the Franz Park Futsal court with St. Louis CITY SC.
Can you walk it instead of running?
Yes!
Can I run with my child in the Kids Fun Run?
Yes. You can run in the kids’ race alongside your kid(s) if you wish. Registration is not required in these cases.
Can I bring my young child in a stroller for the run?
Yes! If the child is only riding in the stroller while the adult runs, there is no additional entry fee.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are not permitted to participate in the race but are certainly welcome at the festival. Pets must be kept on leashes, and waste must be picked up.
When is packet pickup?
Wednesday, September 14 at Franz Park from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, September 16 at Felix’s Pizza Pub patio from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Will I be guaranteed a race shirt?
To be guaranteed a race shirt, you must register for the race by midnight on September 1st. Shirts can be collected during packet pick-up.
Where can I park?
Parking is available at Wilkinson Early Childhood Center and is accessible only by driving east on Mitchell. Please do not attempt to access the parking lot from Prather or by going west on Mitchell, as street closures for the event will prevent you from reaching it.

Are roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards, or bikes allowed?
No, due to safety concerns, roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards, or bikes are not permitted.
Do all finishers receive a medal?
We do not have finishers' medals for this race. All participants will receive a complimentary adult beverage (over 21) or a treat. The top three finishers (male & female) will receive prizes from local Dogtown Businesses.
What are the registration fees?
The Fun Run takes offers two race options for the family.
9:00 a.m. Adult 1-Mile Run (2 laps around Franz Park)Age 10 and above - $25
9:30 a.m. Kids 1/2-Mile Dash (1 lap around Franz Park)Kids under the age of 10 - $20
Registration costs will increase by $5 after September 1, 2022. Registration ends on September 16, 2022.
